Richard Leggett


Pastor Richard has a sincere devotion to biblical ministry.  He has a great love for both his church and the community that surrounds us, and is outreach oriented.  Above all else, his commitment to the love of God, neighbor, and community is the driving force behind the success of our church.  Pastor Richard welcomes you here and is available any time to speak about the church and its ministries.

Brandon Dyal


Known throughout Central Texas by a wide variety of audiences and congregations, Brandon Dyal has quickly earned a reputation as an Organist, Pianist, and Accompanist. Brandon serves as the organist and accompanist at First United Methodist Church of Bastrop, Texas. He also is the owner of his own piano tuning business Lost Pines Piano. Brandon began his music studies at the age of 11 with the trombone, at age 14 he began taking formal lessons with Dr. Patricia Burnham, and at age 15 began his studies with organ under Scott McNulty. Brandon is also a senior at Texas State University in San Marcos working towards his bachelor’s degree in music.

Jeanne Creagh


For more than 25 years, Jeanne has been serving as our Hideout Director.  Her children grew up in the program and she is proud to be serving our congregation and their children.  Jeanne has an early childhood degree from SUNY, New York.  She has worked in the Methodist Children's home in upstate New York as well as with Catholic Charities.  In 1987, she moved to Texas and went to work for Texas School for the Blind.  In 1992, she moved to FUMC Bastrop to work for The Hideout and calls this place home. 

Joseph Leggett


Joseph has been working in and around church youth and worship ministries for more than 16 years.  In the past, he has served in many capacities for other churches.  Joesph has been a substitute Sunday school teacher, a volunteer worship leader, a church camp assistant manager, a sound technician and a youth director.  All of these past experiences make him the perfect fit as our youth director.  Joseph has an associates degree in Music and Sound Engineering. He currently attends the University of Texas at Austin.

Gina R. Steere


Gina has more than 25 years experience in leadership, communications and feature writing.  Her work experience includes boutique marketing firms, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, and other non-profit organizations.  From website communications to newsblasts and social media, she has it covered.  Gina is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a degree in Journalism.

Judi Krause


Cindy Keil


Cindy has been working with our church as the administrative assistant to Pastor Richard for more than four years.  She is the "GO TO" person for all of our office needs.  Cindy knows about everything going on with the church and relating to church activities on a daily basis from services to ministries. If she doesn't know the answer to your questions, she can point you to the right person.  Cindy is a Notary Public and offers that service to any member of our church, free of charge.

Jennifer Poston


As long as she can remember, Jennifer has been involved in Music Studies.  From beginning piano lessons as a young child, to playing the French Horn, handbells and singing in her church and school choir, Jennifer has gained a variety of experiences. Jennifer continued her love of music at the University of Texas at Austin, graduating with a degree in Applied Learning and Development with a minor in Music. She is currently employed with BISD, working as the Music Teacher at Lost Pines Elementary School.  In her spare time, Jennifer pursues her studies in Kodaly workshops and is working towards her Kodaly Certification. Jennifer loves to share her passion of music with others, especially through the Handbell Choir.
