PATHFINDERS SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS 9:45 am
The Pathfinders class meets in the sanctuary at 9:30 a.m. and begins class at 9:45 a.m. The class dismisses at 10:30 a.m. in time to start the 11:00 a.m. church service. This class consists of friendly, caring and devoted people and it feels like one big family. There is always room for more people to join, attend, and continue learning. The opening of the class begins with prayers for many who have special needs. Classmates always try to give thanks for many answered prayers. There are multiple teachers who rotate on a weekly basis. The class utilizes Cokesbury’s Adult Bible Study curriculum which is an official resource of the United Methodist Church and is approved by the General Board of Discipleship. This book is published quarterly. Students each use corresponding study guides. Class content alternates from the Old to the New Testament. During the summer months the class is studying books from the Old Testament: Joshua, Judges, and Ruth. This fall they will study the following:
The Pathfinder’s Class President is Norma Woehl. Come by any Sunday and meet her! She will be happy to answer questions about the classes. Visitors are encouraged to come and join them!
God blesses us so that we might bless others.
KOINONIA SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS, 9:45 – 10:45 a.m., FELLOWSHIP HALL PARLOR
“Koinonia” is a Greek word that means “sharing and participation within a Christian community.” Our class studies and discusses a wide variety of Christian books throughout the year. Past studies range anywhere from bestsellers like The Shack and Same Kind of Different As Me to topics such as Science and Religion and When Christians Get It Wrong. We look forward to our future studies, including one by C.S. Lewis and two book/DVD studies from Adam Hamilton, Making Sense of the Bible and Revival: Faith As Wesley Lived It.
Contact person for our class is Debbie Meyer, 512-321-6553, email@example.com.
